We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic rotational dietitian to join Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. The dietetic team consists of around 50 Dietitians, plus dietetic assistants and admin staff across 3 hospital sites and Sheffield community. STH is one of the largest Trusts in the country. This rotational post is likely to be initially based within the Sheffield community setting covering a variety of general clinics, home visits and offers a variety of teaching opportunities. We have recently had transformation funding for the Community team so this is a very exciting time to be part of a new innovative and forward thinking, friendly team. There will be opportunities to rotate between the hospital sites and you will gain a broad experience of acute teaching hospital and community settings. Your clinical commitments in the acute rotations will be a variety of medical, surgical or oncology wards.. We are actively involved in dietetic student training. Applicants will possess BSc Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent) and must be HCPC registered. However, we would welcome applications from Dietetic students who will be eligible for HCPC on completion of studies. Excellent communication skills and effective team working skills are essential. CPD is actively encouraged, with opportunities to attend accredited post registration courses and in-house training. Job Purpose To be responsible for the provision of high quality dietetic services to a clinical caseload in a designated area, using skills and knowledge as an independent practitioner. To contribute to the development and implementation of evidence based clinical and teaching practice. To work with their supervisor and Dietetic team leader in assisting in the operational management of the department. To assist the dietetic management team to ensure the overall service provides high quality patient care, and in the management of clinical governance, resources and equipment.
