* Job Opportunity: IT Technician - Full Time (Ballymena)
* Location: Ballymena
* Contract: 1-Year Fixed Term (with possibility of extension)
* Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Salary: £24,702 - £29,269 per annum
* Immediate Start
What You'll Do:
* Prepare learning environments: Ensure all classroom areas, equipment, and cloud-based services are ready for use before classes start.
* Staff training: Train and support staff in the safe use of complex IT equipment, cloud platforms and tools.
* Support students: Demonstrate technical resources and tools to students and supervise their usage during practical sessions.
* Maintain safety and security: Ensure all IT equipment and cloud services are used safely and securely, complying with data protection standards.
* Assist lecturers: Provide valuable support during lectures, exhibitions, and displays, helping bring lessons to life.
* Collaborate: Work closely with lecturers to maintain safe, effective, and engaging learning environments.
Who We're Looking For:
* Experienced IT Technician: Minimum of 2 years in a similar IT role.
* Educational qualifications: GCSE English Language and Maths (grade A – C) or equivalent. Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant vocational area.
* Technical expertise: Strong problem-solving skills and a track record in troubleshooting IT issues. Proven ability to operate and maintain IT equipment and cloud management systems.
* Team player: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and support team goals.
* Safety-focused: Committed to maintaining safe working practices and handling sensitive data securely.
* Clearance required: Access NI clearance will be required for the successful candidate.
