Following retirement of a long serving employee, we are able to offer this rare opportunity for you to join our team and play a pivotal role in you securing the existence and growth of businesses and key industries in our borough. We need you to support the Councils regeneration and economic development objectives through high quality engagement with the business community and private sector to understand the opportunities and challenges affecting the development and growth of existing and new businesses. You will play a key role in driving investment and development on strategic sites like the King s Lynn Enterprise Park. You will use the business intelligence gathered to represent the best interests of west Norfolk businesses to develop policy and initiatives that support economic development, skills and property strategies for business growth, attraction and retention in the Borough. Educated to degree level, you will have effective communication skills and have experience of business support and aftercare with knowledge of regional and national business support mechanism and initiatives. You will have experience of inward investment, place marketing and promotion with an understanding of the requirements for businesses to growth, including external funding, finance and regulations available to support this. You must have good research and data analysis skills with the ability to convert ideas into practical solutions.
