The role
This is an exciting quantitative research role, in which you will be working in a small agile team that works across lots of different methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, traditional and innovative). We are seeking someone with expert quantitative research skills, however as we are a small team that conducts both quantitative and qualitative, you will have the opportunity to get involved and upskill across both.
This role would suit someone who wants to work in a fast- paced environment, with the ability to manage and juggle multiple projects. This is a leading role in producing high quality insight, writing and delivering presentations to clients, working on proposals, questionnaire design as well as develop strong client relationships.
Key duties
1. Designing research studies, including appropriate sampling approaches, proposal drafting, questionnaire design, writing table specs, data analysis, reporting and delivering presentations
2. Ensuring projects are delivered on budget and to time, through effective project planning (including planning ahead and managing risks) and delegation
3. Establishing and building relationships with clients and managing their bespoke research projects
4. Creating questionnaires against client objectives
5. Analysing data and creating insightful presentations
6. Keeping abreast of important trends and insights across sectors and markets of interest
7. Helping to identify and manage existing, and new, information & data sources.
8. Reviewing draft deliverables (e.g. presentations and reports) to ensure that they are client-ready and providing feedback to junior team members
9. Effectively managing relationships with suppliers, to ensure successful fieldwork
10. Building and managing effective client relationships through strong communication with individual client teams
Skills (essential):
11. Experience with the whole research project life cycle from design to delivery
12. Experience designing questionnaires
13. Experience in report writing and storytelling
14. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team
15. Demonstrable professional experience in a relevant data / quantitative/survey research environment.
16. Knowledge of analytical and statistical quality assurance approaches.
17. Advanced data manipulation skills in Excel and PowerPoint
18. Excellent communication skills – oral and written including extensive experience of presenting research findings to a non-specialist audience.
19. Able to analyse and synthesise complex information into key insights for a range of audiences.
20. Able to work collaboratively across teams
21. Ability to comfortably manage projects and deliver day-to-day
22. Time management skills, working across multiple projects, prioritising tasks efficiently and meeting demanding deadlines
23. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
24. Proven ability to work well in teams, handle clients and negotiate with suppliers
25. Confident and clear written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of accurate use of English
Skills (desirable):
26. Experience in a research agency is highly desirable
27. Experience in qual, such as sampling design, recruitment, writing discussion guides and creating stimulus materials, moderating in-depth interviews and groups
28. Knowledge of media tools such as TGI, TouchPoints, GWI, SimilarWeb, Telmar
29. Knowledge and experience using correspondence mapping and clustering techniques
30. Knowledge of behavioural science principles and application
31. Knowledge of media measurement and landscape
