The Principal Engineer will support the ADM in leading and developing a high-performing reliable team or partner relationship, that delivers a high quality, cost-efficient delivery output in a predictable and safe manner. Be accountable for key specific tasks within the operational delivery team and ensure they are executed professionally and recorded.
What will you be doing?
1. Excellent understanding of fibre optic network architectures and installation methods to have the ability to make decisions.
2. Be accountable for ensuring lead engineers or partners organise their Teams and deliver their work schedules daily
3. Ability to read data reports and interpret build test reports and analyse existing data
4. Audit quality installation against appropriate compliance standards
5. Follow good practice guidance and comply with health, safety and welfare policies including procedures relating to the reporting of accidents.
6. Support the development and motivation of team members to fulfil their potential
What we are looking for:
7. NOTE - Roles within Infrastructure will be subject to an enhanced DBS check
8. NOTE - Field-based roles are subject to a Monday – Sunday contract
9. Full UK Driving license required with no more than 6 points on your license
10. Experience in cabling infrastructure environment within underground duct networks and/or internal cabling structures within buildings
11. Openreach accreditation modules, particularly in underground safety and fibre optic cabling.
