Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Electrician - Facilities Management
Location: North East - Ideal candidate based in Newcastle
Sites Covered: Northumberland, Newcastle, Durham, Sunderland. Majority of the works are in Newcastle. Covering a range of sites including retail and offices.
Salary: Base Salary £37,000.00 – 40,000.00 (Depending on Experience) + overtime + on call allowance
On call: 1 week in every 8 | If called out, paid 1.5x Door to Door
Benefits: 33 days holiday, Pension, Company Vehicle with Fuel Card (Work use only)
Full time & Permanent Position: 40 hours per week
We are actively seeking candidates for an immediate start with a national facilities management leader, with the position being based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Client Base: Managing agents of commercial office blocks, industrial units, retail & student accommodation. A facilities management background would be preferred.
Job Purpose: This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a number of sites in the area. The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPM’s.
You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date. All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down company Health and Safety policy.
Job Responsibilities
1. General Electrical and HVAC plant maintenance
2. Maintenance / repairs / replacements of lighting / rewires / electrical testing and all general electrical duties including mechanical & plumbing on site.
3. Health and safety awareness.
4. General DIY abilities - Occasional non-technical plumbing, maintenance, joinery/carpentry.
5. Knowledge and experience of all electrical plant including, but not limited to Air Handling Units and their associated controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipe work and accessories).
6. Knowledge and experience of BMS control systems.
7. Knowledge and experience of all electrical installations, including wiring, testing, issuing written electrical test/minor works reports etc.
8. To maintain on site log books, permits & site paperwork ensuring they are completed and up to date.
9. The Electrical Engineer will be working as part of a mobile team, our client is looking for someone who is flexible, works well as part of a team and is client focused.
10. Completing PPM’s to the highest standard.
Ideal Candidate
1. Qualified to NVQ Level 3, AM2, 18th Edition or equivalent.
2. 2391 would be preferred.
3. Time served apprentice, ideally with a background in facilities management.
4. Knowledge of electrical systems.
