We are currently recruiting for a behaviour support mentor to join our partner secondary schoool on a full-time basis ASAP on a permanent basis. The school is a large co-educational secondary school in North Manchester (M40) who strive to equip each student with a tailored learning plan in order to achieve their best. For some students this may require additional support, especially for those with challenging behaviour.
The role
You will carry out a variety of duties such as;
* Checking for internal truancy
* Escorting pupils to classrooms and exclusion rooms
* Responding classroom support
* De-escalating disruptive behaviour
* Carry out relevant break, lunch, and corridor duty.
You will be supporting students across all age groups and will help to support teachers for any students that may disrupt others learning. We are looking for a patient and kind individual, with a strong presence who ideally has experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate
* Valid DBS or be willing to apply for one
* Previous experience managing challenging behaviour (desirable)
* Available to start ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
