This is an opportunity to be part of the Acute Medicine Unit. AMU is a fast paced, acute area, and we are now recruiting experienced Band 5 Registered Nurses who are ready for a new challenge.
We are seeking enthusiastic, experienced, caring and committed Band 5 Nurses who are able to engage and work closely with the multidisciplinary team. That includes HCSWs, OTs and Physiotherapists, medics, surgeons, psychiatric liaison team and more.
We require a candidate that is organised, resilient and adaptable. We expect to see excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Above all else we require quality patient care to be your priority at all times.
We pride ourselves on developing our staff and you will be supported by our Lead Education Senior Sister. This dedicated training support enables us to provide you with an excellent induction, support with re-validation and an ongoing training package.
AMU can be a fast paced but fascinating and highly rewarding place to work. We are dedicated in the promotion of staff well-being and there are always lots of support available from the senior nursing team.
We can offer full or part time hours, but flexibility is required working days, nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
* The post holder will work according to the NMC code of conduct and will be accountable for their own professional actions.
* The post holder must adhere to the Trust's policies and guidelines.
* The post holder will liaise with family and relatives and will address any concerns.
* The post holder is capable of recognising and escalating deteriorating patients.
* The post holder is competent in assessing, planning and delivering high quality patient care.
* The post holder will assist with flow by discharging and transferring patients in a timely manner.
* The post holder must be able to work nights and out of hours.
