About the area Academic members of the discipline of Microbiology and Immunology are responsible for the Major in Microbiology and Immunology (MMI) and the Masters of Infectious disease (MID). MMI is comprised of 6 units with a cohort of 200 students. The MID is a coursework degree of 16 units and has a cohort of 30-35 students per annum. Academic teaching staff are also asked to provide support teaching into a variety of professional programs including Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Ophthalmology and Pharmacy.
