POSITION: Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Pension Risk and Control Senior Analyst

Are you an expert in pension risk? If you’re technically astute in operational risk with excellent stakeholder management, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. I am seeking an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Pension Risk and Control Senior Analyst to join their ERM team.
You’ll embed and facilitate a risk and control framework to the requirements set out by the General Code of Practice issued by the Pensions Regulator (TPR). You'll also encompass all the risk and control frameworks in place (IFC/IC/Operational Risk).
This business works smart, empowering their people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and their customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of their office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. They’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements.
What you’ll be doing:
* Taking a lead role in managing activities encompassing operational risk from on oversight perspective
* Facilitating and monitoring the risk and control environment for Pension Trustees
* Leading in ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to document, challenge, monitor, report and escalate risk and control issues
* Preparing and presenting all necessary committee reporting information over the effectiveness of the risk and control environment as required throughout the year, preparing the annual Own Risk Assessment (ORA)
* Acting as a business partner to UK Pension Trustees through regular engagement and management of ongoing relationship, leading stakeholder meetings, providing challenge and support on the ERM framework
* Reporting to the status of activities undertaken, and any issues identified in the risk and control environment (with the scope of responsibilities) to your line manager
* Engaging with other risk & control management functions within the business (Compliance, Internal Audit, Operational Risk Assurance, Fraud, Group teams)
What you’ll bring:
* You’ll have obtained or worked towards a relevant risk professional qualification with an understanding of Solvency II legislation
* You'll have demonstrable success in implementing operational risk / internal control frameworks within Financial Services with excellent knowledge of the Pension industry
* Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building, influencing and communication skills
* Strong technical knowledge of Operational Risk Regulatory regime and reporting analysis techniques
* Robust understanding of process and control disciplines and their application
* Exemplary facilitation skills – risk & control assessments and other risk workshops
* Exceptional oral / written communication, planning, analytical, problem-solving, networking and influencing skills
