We have an opportunity for a Technical Sales Support Specialist to join our Water Supply and Disposal Pumps Canada Sales team in Cambridge, ON. As an integral part of the sales team, you will identify and provide valuable solutions for customer technical issues, support the pre-sales quoting process, all while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
You will work a hybrid work schedule for this position, with 2-3 days/week in-office in Cambridge, ON.
You will:
* Use customer input and sales information to design, re-design, develop and implement applications for pumps and pumping systems.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with product engineers, sales team, customer service, manufacturing, and our vendor network.
* Serve as internal liaison between key accounts and internal departments.
* Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company approved databases.
* Manage post sales interactions, such as order status, shipping ETA, lead-times, claims, pricing discrepancies, holds and inquiries, warranties, returns, filed scraps, etc. for a finite list of key accounts.
* Travel to project sites to perform start-up, integration, and training services as needed.
* Support local sales events, such as coordinating logistics of inbound items, giveaways, displays, no-charge items, etc. as needed.
Key Qualifications:
* Have earned a 3-year college diploma in a related field preferred.
* Have 2-3 years of professional work experience in customer service, sales, or sales support.
* Experience working with products in water, wastewater, fluid handling, and/or plumbing industries preferred.
* Ability to read electro-mechanical drawings, bills of materials, etc.
* Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate multiple and varied kinds of relationships, both internally and externally to the organization.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize duties, exercise good judgment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
* Bi-lingual fluency in English and French is a plus.
Travel:
* Occasional overnight travel (2-3 days/month) as needed to dealers, distributors, customers, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings.
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $62700 - $116400 CAD / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as annual incentive bonus.
