The successful candidate will receive training in the Immunology specialist department of Blood Sciences. Applicants will hold a HND or HNC in Healthcare Science or undergraduate degree in a related subject. Following Immunology lab training the successful applicant may receive support from Immunology staff and the Training team towards registration as a Biomedical Scientist. NHS Tayside Immunology is based with a wider Blood Sciences department at the heart of a large teaching hospital which provides a full range of clinical and diagnostic services to NHS Tayside and North-East Fife. In addition we serve as the Immunology referral centre for NHS Fife and NHS Borders and as a specialist testing centre for Immunology centres across Scotland. The Department of Blood Science is; UKAS accredited to ISO 15189:2022 and holds IBMS Training status. We are looking for staff that can demonstrate team spirit, initiative, flexibility to train further. In order to apply you must have a HND or HNC in Healthcare Science or undergraduate degree in a relevant Biological science. Experience of working in a clinical laboratory environment is highly desirable but specialist knowledge or experience in Immunology is not required. The Immunology Service operates from 8:30-16:30 although on occasion you may be asked to work outside these times and paid overtime.
