Creating and implementing material plans and subcontract management plans.
Applying strategies tactically to programme objectives.
Ensuring material strategies are effectively applied to bids and proposals.
Lead decision-making processes for make/buy analysis.
Working with cross functional teams to establish project schedules based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Developing and implementing risk and opportunity plans.
Producing accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), managing BOM changes during the proposal process, and ensuring material estimates align with updated technical baselines.
Monitoring and managing material costs against projected costs.
Developing precise material cost estimates.
Take proactive steps to address programme or functional challenges.
Lead planning-related proposal activities, for example drafting task descriptions and creating bases of estimates.
Address obsolescence, long lead times, and last time buy challenges to maintain project timelines.
Utilising Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial management, including managing Material Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Material Forecasting.
What are we looking for in a Supply Chain Project Manager? Degree Level Qualification in Supply Chain or Engineering MCIPS membership prefered Experience in areas of Planning, Supply Chain, Finance or Production Control Experienced in a highly regulated industry such as defence or aerospace Planning experience Experienced managing to a budget Experience reviewing, and contributing to EACs Previous experience collaborating with subcontract manager for Statements of Work Understanding of operational and manufacturing processes, assembly, integration and test, across electronics or aerospace hardware Experience with customer and business area requirements, and transforming them into executable strategies Experience in Integrated Programme Team (IPT) environment Understanding of Defence Contracting Proficient with ERP/MRP systems Microsoft Project Experience
