We are looking for a warm and professional Maitre D' to be the face of our brand-new restaurant on the picturesque Isle of Wight. Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanour, ensuring a positive first impression.
* Manage allFood & Beverage (F&B) reservations, coordinating with guests and internal teams to optimise bookings and ensure seamless service.
* Handle walk-ins efficiently to minimise wait times and maximise guest satisfaction.
* Coordinate with the restaurant and bar teams to ensure smooth seating flow and service.
* Invite guests to their tables, providing menus and offering initial recommendations.
* Ensure menus are clean, up to date, and well-presented at all times.
* Maintain and look after all equipment belonging to the Host Team, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and in proper working order.
* Address guest enquiries and accommodate special requests to enhance their experience.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the entrance, waiting area, and reservation system.
* Monitor guest satisfaction, assisting with problem resolution when needed.
* Assist with managing phone enquiries and online bookings.
* Uphold high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service etiquette.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a front-of-house or customer service role preferred.
* Experience managing reservations, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy restaurant setting.
* A friendly, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.
* Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
