Job summary
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic caring individual to join our team in the Kings Treatment Centre where we deliver a variety of outpatient services. The role will be to assist in a variety of procedures focused in the surgical outpatient departments.
The Kings Treatment Centre is a contemporary hospital-based outpatient department, with first class, spacious and state of the art clinic suites. We provide specialist consultations and a wide range of diagnostic procedures and treatments for our patients.
The primary role of the Outpatient Clinic Assistant is to provide high quality care to a designated group of patients, to promote a positive patient experience, working in collaboration with all members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve this.
The successful applicant must:
* Have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care or a willingness to work towards.
* Be able to work flexibly within the department when required.
* Have previous experience of working in a customer care role.
* Have experience of working within an outpatient setting.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Demonstrate good communication skills and understanding of basic requirements for individual patient care.
Qualifications
* Care Certificate or willingness to work towards.
Further Training
* Mandatory updates and customer care courses.
* Phlebotomy training.
* Observation training.
Experience
* Previous customer care experience and life skills.
* Previous NHS care experience in an outpatient setting.
Contractual
* Regular attendee, able to work flexibly within working hours of department.
