Occupational Therapy Team Lead - Front Door Therapy Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated senior occupational therapist to lead our front door therapy team at Pilgrim Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who has wide-ranging clinical experience, good communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centred care to join our Front Door Therapy team. The ideal candidate will have the motivation and passion to drive the development of the acute front door therapy service.
As the team lead, you will provide and develop your team to ensure a high standard of therapy service is delivered for the Frailty and Front Door specialty. You will be required to work closely in an integrated manner with other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to promote independence, provide rapid assessments, and facilitate safe, timely, and appropriate discharges within the Emergency departments, medical assessment units, and any other admission unit within Lincoln County Hospital.
You will play a major role in the overall service development of the team and specialty, working with senior team members, advance therapy practitioners, professional leads, Head of Therapies, and managing and supervising the development of staff members within the team.
Main Duties of the Job
Operating hours - 7 day service working 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Flexible working - Our extended hours provide the appointable candidate with the flexibility to create a work schedule that suits their needs. This could include options such as a 4-day work week or other flexible working patterns.
The successful applicant will lead a developing and experienced clinical team of therapy staff of Bands 2-6 and will support the development of Therapy staff as part of the wider MDT to deliver evidence-based interventions in the front door and frailty specialty. The successful candidate must be flexible, innovative, and highly motivated. The role requires the appointed person to be proactive and adaptable to support the smooth and prompt transition of hospital care to the individual's place of discharge, taking into account their needs. The successful applicant will be well supported within the therapy department and will be encouraged to develop the service. Qualifications
Essential
* Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy
* Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses/CPD at master's levels/research relevant to specialty
* 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above including English Language and Maths
* Registration with HCPC
* Recognised teaching qualification i.e. L'Apple
Desirable
* Supervisory skills
* Membership of RCOT
* Active membership of a relevant Professional Network
Previous Experience

* Proven NHS experience including work at Band 6 level in a variety of clinical areas.
* Proven skills in specialist area
