Vacancy: Learning & Development Specialist Location: Clitheroe, UK Job Family: HR As the L&D Specialist you will be accountable for providing UK operational sites L&D advice and support to ensure all L&D processes are aligned to the Global L&D procedures. This includes supporting leadership teams in conducting Training Needs Analysis across the business to identify the required training both on and off the job to ensure compliance to industry standards and adherence to legislation including Health and Safety. Duties will also include, business partnering key business stakeholders offering advise on L&D processes to support business strategy and performance. Your responsibilities: Manage all learning and development activities across the site to ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and safety standards in alignment with site strategy and goals. Assist the Site Competence Specialist in implementing a competency management process for site competence assessment. Maintain accurate training records in compliance with HR, EHS, COMAH, and Quality Audit standards. Support line managers in reviewing and executing the site learning & development plan to enhance production and capability. Design and facilitate learning interventions with subject matter experts, ensuring all interventions are recorded in the appropriate systems. Coordinate with the Learning & Development team to schedule and track all training activities, both internal and external, to meet business needs. Requirements for the role: Proven experience in business environments requiring adherence to regulatory standards, industry regulations, and legislation. Background in Learning & Development, including strategy delivery, L&D system management, change management, and continuous improvement. Skilled in using system data to identify learning gaps and implementing solutions aligned with organizational goals. Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and personnel across diverse roles. Familiarity with process-driven manufacturing and unionized environments. Relevant L&D qualification and experience as an L&D partner in a matrix organization or group function within a large organization.
