Accounts Receivable Assistant - Higher Education

The College is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their dynamic and busy finance team.
About the Role
As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the college's income processes. You will be responsible for:
1. Creating and maintaining accounts, conducting credit checks, and ensuring accurate account setup.
2. Processing and distributing invoices, credit memos, and adjustments while verifying documentation.
3. Handling incoming payments through various systems including Oracle, Pay360, Flywire, and Convera.
4. Investigating and allocating unapplied receipts, working closely with remitters and internal teams.
5. Managing refunds to students, funders, and other customers while ensuring compliance with approval procedures.
6. Providing support to students, internal and external customers via phone, email, and virtual or in-person meetings regarding payment queries.
Experience & Knowledge:
1. Experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role, preferably in a Shared Services environment.
2. Familiarity with financial accounting systems.
3. Knowledge of credit risk analysis.
4. Understanding of Higher Education finance processes.

Salary & Benefits:
Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 per annum
Pension: 15% of pensionable salary (SAUL)
