Job Description We have an exciting new opportunity for an Mechanical Project Manager to join a national organisation, working within their Energy (M&E) Division, based in Bournemouth, Dorset. About the role You will be responsible for managing the effective and efficient delivery of the mechanical services installation on our Bournemouth Contract, taking full responsibility for all personnel working on that contract and delivering services to the required SLA. Location: Bournemouth, Dorset Your role will include: Management of day-to-day project delivery on designated project, including delivery to client requirements, safety, quality, supplier performance and improvement. Commercial management and reporting to line managers. Drive a “Safety First” and “Right First Time” culture across the field operations backed up through plans and engagement with suppliers. Manage and lead M&E field supervisors responsible for designated project. Ensure accidents, incidents and near misses, quality failures and service deterioration trends are investigated competently, and corrective action is taken where and when appropriate. Through a close working relationship with commercial, identity at the earliest opportunity risks to delivering the budget, supplier and/ or overhead cost impacting upon the project. Manage the operational relationship with all suppliers and have monitoring in place to ensure that company standards are adhered to and met. Manage staff, oversee work schedules, and assign specific duties accordingly. Deliver quality service to the client ensuring that performance standards & contractual KPI’s and SLAs are met. Carry out regular audits of staff performance and quality of work to ensure the highest standard of service and workmanship is being achieved. Communicate closely and provide timely and accurate periodical reports to Contract Manager defining project progress, problems, and solutions. Experience: Have strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities. Previous experience of working on NEC 3-4 contracts Previous experience of working on healthcare project delivery from mechanical perspective Recognised Building Services Qualification – ONC / HNC in Building services Engineering Strong experience of programme management Strong mechanical systems background to ensure full understanding of systems for installation on designated project. As a requirement for the Mechanical and Electrical Department an enhanced DBS check must be passed due to the client buildings being visited. Full UK Driving License which has been continuously held for 12 months or more, with no more than 6 points. A legal right to work in the UK.
