Osborne Clarke are looking to add to their Change & Transformation team with an exciting new PMO Manager opportunity in our Bristol office. This role will involve managing the UK Firm's firm-wide PMO by building on the current foundations in place to create a centre of excellence. You will ensure there are rigorous processes in place regarding reporting, quality assurance, resourcing, and budgeting, supporting our business objectives and successfully delivering change initiatives. This is a permanent position offering hybrid working. The role The PMO Manager will lead the strategic direction of the PMO team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment, and ensuring the successful execution of change initiatives in alignment with organisational goals. Other key responsibilities include: Centre of Excellence: Building a centre of excellence for the firm through maintenance and continuous improvement of our standards, including finalising a centralised repository for project management knowledge, lessons learned, templates, and local practices. Governance: Contributing to our methodology and framework, managing change requests, monitoring stage gates, and ensuring the teams are complying with these protocols. Tools: Supporting our toolset, which includes Monday.com and iManage for project documentation. Reporting: Ensuring that reports for senior stakeholders are created on time and to a high standard, and evolving our framework to meet the needs of the organisation. Maintaining a central repository of all projects and programmes across the firm, including managing the project in-take process day to day. Health Checks & Reviews: Carrying out health checks across projects and programmes and supporting project teams to implement findings and recommendations. Escalating and addressing issues proportionately to their impact and needs of the business. Ensuring our processes meet all regulatory requirements and our external and internal standards. Culture: Contributing to our customer-focused approach, providing guidance and support to the team of portfolio analysts to create a high-performing team, and delivering continuous improvement. Financial Management and Reporting: Ensuring budget is set, signed off and monitored, appropriately detailed business cases are created, invoices are processed and tracked accurately, and international cross-charges are carried out correctly. Resource Management: Ensuring resources are distributed and allocated accurately within Change & Transformation, and that resource requests into other departments are coordinated and prioritised. Risk & Issue Management: Supporting the identification and tracking of key portfolio-wide risks and issues, ensuring that the mitigating actions are being implemented. Data-Driven PMO: Developing our data sets, ensuring benefits tracking processes run, and enabling data-driven decision making. We are looking for: Experience in an enterprise / firm-wide PMO team. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong customer focus, with an emphasis on building an understanding of Osborne Clarke's needs and creating processes and information to support that. Line management experience, with a focus on building a high-performance team, and an emphasis on fostering an inclusive culture. Collaborative and flexible approach, providing structure without unnecessary bureaucracy. A good understanding of different portfolio, programme and project methodologies (e.g. APM, MSP, P3O). Ability to synthesise complex information across a diverse, firm-wide portfolio of change and strong coordination skills. An ability to demonstrate an understanding of the critical role that a firm-wide PMO and change function plays within an organisation. Financial management skills, covering budgeting and reporting and overall project financial control, to ensure investment value for the client.
