We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Bourne as an MET Technician.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MET Technician to join the successful team at our Bourne site.
About the Role
As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical, Trim) Technician with Steer, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for repairing vehicles to the highest standards. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using your technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure that our customers receive top-notch service.
You will be responsible for carrying out all necessary mechanical and body work on allocated jobs, dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop and carrying out inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work.
Working with the Parts Team, you will provide details for ordering replacement parts, and be responsible for re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition and to vehicle and BSI PAS 10125 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Carrying out all necessary mechanical and bodywork on allocated jobs.
6. Performing repairs and maintenance tasks on vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
7. Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop and reassembling to pre-accident condition.
8. Using diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose and repair problems.
9. Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
10. Keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used.
11. Support the training and development of the team.
About You
You will have strong knowledge and experience as an MET Technician or mechanic from an accident repair background, with high attention to detail and the ability to work skilfully and safely under pressure.
You must be able to:
12. Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales.
13. Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers specification.
14. Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
15. Be flexible in your approach, continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
16. Ensure that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines; for example, wearing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keeping all work areas clean and tidy.
