Ideally this role you would be based at GSK HQ, in Central London but we will also consider candidates to be based at other GSK locations in the UK. In this global role as the Climate Manager, you will report to the Global Climate lead, supporting GSK stakeholders in meeting our commitment to a net zero, nature positive, healthier planet, with ambitious goals set for and 80% carbon reduction by 2030, and a corporate net-zero target setting in line with Science Based Target initiative for 2045 across our entire value chain. You will have an excellent understanding of scope 1,2 and 3 emission inventories and opportunities for reductions, and have gained relevant, practical experience within a regulated industry. You will have a good understanding of the carbon removals space and its role providing opportunities through both nature and technology, as well as developing programmes that enable the delivery of GSK’s 2030 and 2045 commitments. You will provide technical and actionable guidance for climate emission inventory management and reduction, including cross functional support in the preparation and execution of specific annual plans and targets. As such you will have a holistic understanding of the influences and interdependencies critical to the successful delivery of a Net zero, nature positive healthier planet. In this role you will… You will be responsible for the overall climate KPIs and performance across the organisation, supporting the accountable leadership team members. You will be exposed to working with senior stakeholders, whilst working cross-functionally. You will develop technical guidance and programmes for carbon that deliver the broader 2030 and 2045 goals, representing GSK in technical forums and peer to peer engagement groups to further the ability to deliver our climate commitments. Develop programme to manage and monitor against scope 1,2 & 3 emission Provide insights on carbon that enable decision making in our sustainability programmes for climate and nature Work with business units to understand the business risks and opportunities that enable improved performance year to year Why you? Basic Qualifications & Skills: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Degree qualified or equivalent experience, Regulated industry experience in sustainability & climate science across scopes 1,2 & 3. Awareness of emission inventory management and carbon accounting principles, including the Carbon removals markets and assurance programmes Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-quality deliverables to tight deadlines. Strong influencing and persuasive abilities, with ability to manage conflicting priorities Excellent IT skills, including a strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI. Preferred: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Working knowledge of the existing climate policy and legislative frameworks globally, with a more detailed view of the UK, EU & North America.
