What will the apprentice be doing on site
This is a great opportunity for an aspiring landscaper to get started in their career. By completing an apprenticeship, you will gain industry experience and will be working towards a Level 2 qualification with a company that specializes in soft and hard landscaping across Norfolk and Suffolk.
This role will include:
1. Undertaking minor demolition works.
2. Assisting in the measuring of sites.
3. Assisting in the construction of stone or brick walls, retaining structures, timber edgings, concrete block paving, slabs, and stone paths/surfacing.
4. Installation of raised beds.
5. Assisting in the erection of various types of fences.
6. The cultivation and preparation of ground for turfing, seeding, or planting.
7. Taking delivery of materials.
8. Planting trees, shrubs, and ground cover.
9. Ensuring the working environment is kept clear of obstructions.
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
The wage will be £302 per week.
Are there restrictions
You will need your own transport to travel to sites across Norfolk and Suffolk for early starts.
What sort of candidate are you looking for
You must be prepared to do manual and heavy work every day. Be hard-working, self-motivated, and physically fit. You must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions. Have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a small close-knit team.
Qualifications Required
GCSE grade 3/D in maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
