About Us and The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on and detail-oriented individual to join a growing Service Team within a specialist engineering company. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the preparation and assembly of the company products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure the department is fully compliant with statutory and company health and safety policies.
2. Carry out the build, testing, and light assembly of overhead hoists and mobility equipment within the Service department.
3. Support with product refurbishments and basic repairs to ensure ongoing quality and compliance.
4. Contribute to the smooth processing of sales and service orders by completing builds on time and to specification.
5. Work closely with the Quality and Operations teams to help identify and resolve product issues.
6. Participate in product improvement initiatives and engineering change procedures.
7. Assist in day-to-day warehouse tasks including stock control, order picking, and packing for dispatch.
8. Maintain an organised, clean, and safe workspace in line with company standards.
9. Take part in regular stock takes and help ensure spare parts inventory is up to date and accurate.
The Candidate
1. Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment.
2. Experience with manufacturing or assembly.
3. Confident using hand tools and basic workshop equipment.
4. Comfortable interpreting simple technical diagrams or drawings.
5. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning new tasks.
6. Good communication skills.
7. Capable of handling manual tasks.
The Package
The salary for this position is £22,000 - £26,000, dependent on skills, experience, and ability to meet the key requirements of the role.
