Birtenshaw are currently looking to recruit an experienced Children’s Home Deputy Manager who is passionate about supporting disabled children. You will be working in a team based in one of our Children's Homes, supporting up to 4 children with Autistic Spectrum Condition, learning disability and/or complex health needs.

The Main Duties of the role include:
* To manage and supervise a team of support workers / senior support workers.
* To deputise for Home managers and Registered Manager’s within one or more home or service within the organisation
* To promote the welfare of children, young people and young adults to ensure they are protected from harm
* To ensure and demonstrate compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies in the service you work
* To provide a responsive service using appropriate methods of assessment and intervention within relevant statutory and company requirements
Hours of work: 37 per week to be worked on a rota basis, subject to the needs of the Company. This will include weekends and bank holidays. There is a also a requirement to ‘sleep-in’ from time to time for which you will be notified in advance and an additional payment will be made.
Salary: starting salary will be £28,000 per annum, increasing to £32,000 upon completion of probationary period and relevant Level 4 qualification.
