Key Account Manager
Location: Office-based in Lincoln
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Salary: Up to £28k DOE + Uncapped Commission
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to nurture and grow relationships with key customers across the UK and internationally.
Job Purpose:
As a Key Account Manager, your focus will be on managing and developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of key clients. You will act as the main point of contact for these accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, maximising retention, and identifying opportunities to grow revenue within existing relationships.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring a high standard of service and satisfaction.
* Develop deep relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, challenges, and future goals.
* Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
* Ensure timely delivery of products and services in line with client expectations.
* Monitor and analyse account performance, providing regular updates and reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
* Coordinate with internal departments (e.g. sales, logistics, product development) to ensure smooth execution of client requirements.
* Attend client meetings (in person and virtually) to maintain and strengthen business relationships.
* Resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients swiftly and professionally.
* Stay informed on industry trends, market movements, and competitor activity to provide strategic input.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in account management, client relationship management, or B2B sales.
* Background in FMCG is essential.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving ability and commercial acumen.
* A proactive and results-driven approach to maintaining and growing key accounts.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
* Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
