To be responsible, through management and staff leadership, for promoting and ensuring the highest standards of care, in compliance with statutory requirements to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents with the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
Essential:
1. Knowledge and experience of Care Planning
2. A good understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults and their families
3. Knowledge of Quality Assurance and monitoring standards
4. Knowledge of the role of the Regulation Quality & Improvement Authority
5. A minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3
6. A willingness to work towards NVQ/QCF Assessors Award
7. A minimum of 2 years’ experience caring for older people, people with disabilities or people with mental health needs
8. Experience in ordering, receiving, administering and storage of medication
9. Availability for flexible hours working (including weekends), which may include hours beyond the normal shift pattern
10. Willingness to maintain registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council, by the Appointee, is a requirement of this position
11. Must be willing to work within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland
