We are currently looking for a passionate individual to join our Reading team in the position of a Behaviour Support Worker in November 2024. The role is based within our specialist education setting, catering to students aged 5-16 years old. The Behaviour Support Worker role is all about building relationships, encouraging independence and engaging students in their education.
* Supporting learners who are facing challenges regarding behaviour management
* Assisting students learning healthy coping mechanisms and emotional regulation
* Tracking progress and implementing education plans
* Use effective communication skills to resolve conflicts
* Encourage independence and engagement with learning material

Key qualities of a Behaviour Support Worker are that you are sure of yourself, have an extroverted nature, value trust and relationships and have patience for those struggling!
Experience supporting children on a personal or professional level is very beneficial but not mandatory. Relevant education or previous experience is welcomed.
