Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical coding assistant to join our team at Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust based at Britannia Park.
You will be part of an enthusiastic, multi-skilled team providing high quality support to the Clinical Coding service at Southend.
You must hold excellent communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft programmes and have the ability to undertake a large range of varied tasks.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing general assistance to the Clinical Coding Team by collecting medical records following patient discharge, tracking paper case notes, locating and collating missing source material such as missing case notes, paperwork and histology reports and answering telephones and dealing with general enquiries.
