This is an exciting opportunity to join our enthusiastic Nuclear Medicine department within the SWBH Trust. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, accurate data input/ IT skills and an ability to work to deadlines.
We are looking for a team player, who is motivated, reliable and eager to learn, and wanting to contribute to improving the journey and experience for our wide range of patients. The department offers imaging and non-imaging diagnostic tests and a small number of therapeutic procedures. We are a part of the imaging group within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
You must enjoy working in a busy environment and be able to prioritise your own workload. You will need good interpersonal skills, be IT literate and able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
The role is to provide administrative and clerical support to the Nuclear Medicine department. This will involve arranging patient appointments - from receiving a referral right through to contacting the patient and providing basic instructions in line with departmental protocols. The post holder will also be the first point of contact for patients when attending their appointments, so will need to have a professional and friendly manner.
Liaising with the multidisciplinary team is a large part of this role, be that confirming appointments with the Same Day Emergency Care team, contacting secretaries regarding referrals or arranging additional support services for patients as required, for example, interpreters and transport teams.

Person specification
Experience
* Relevant experience in NHS environment similar or similar
* Experience of working in an NHS imaging department
Qualifications
* GCSE (or equivalent) level English and Maths
* Recognised qualification equivalent to level RSA II
* NVQ3 Level 3 (or equivalence from short courses, local training and experience)
* Good mathematical skills
* Knowledge of hospital patient database systems e.g. CRIS, UNITY/EPR
Skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Good level of written and spoken English
