Role: Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner (inc 1:1 Support for SEN Child) Location: Warrington Pay £80 -£90 a day Start Date: 24th Feb We are seeking an experienced Level 2/3 Nursery practitioner / TA for a very well respected SEND / Forrest School nursery setting in the Warrington area The nursery specializes in supporting children with a range of needs, and take pride in creating a space where children feel valued, confident, and empowered to learn. You will work closely with children with special educational needs (SEN), providing support to enhance their learning, development, and well-being. Working alongside qualified teachers and forest school practitioners to deliver engaging and inclusive educational activities in an outdoor setting. This role involves both 1.1 SEN and group support, ensuring that each child’s needs are met in a safe, nurturing environment. Hours are 8.30 – 3.30pm Monday – Friday and will involve supporting a child with SEN needs on a 1.1 basis in the morning and offering full class support in the afternoons. Key Responsibilities: Support children with special educational needs, including emotional, physical, and learning challenges. Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities that support children's development and interests. Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment both indoors and outdoors. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and the wider nursery team. Observe, monitor, and record children's progress, sharing feedback with colleagues and parents. Maintain the safety and well-being of all children at all times. Support the forest school approach, encouraging children to explore nature and engage in hands-on learning experiences. Provide tailored, 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs, helping them engage in activities, build relationships, and develop independence. Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that meet the child's individual learning and developmental needs. Offer emotional, physical, and academic support throughout the nursery day, Ideal Candidate: Hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance, Childcare, or a related field. Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable. Passionate about outdoor learning and supporting children’s development in natural settings.
