Description Job Purpose: Investment Managers’ Assistants support investment managers in various administrative and organisational functions, ensuring efficient service and strong client relationships. This non-regulated role focuses on assisting with the administration of investment portfolios and client records, handling client queries, and liaising with the Operations department. Key Areas of Responsibility: Handle team administration and identify efficiency improvements. Assist in opening and maintaining client accounts, including obtaining AML documentation. Keep client information up to date and assist in producing client suitability reports, often communicating directly with clients and intermediaries such as solicitors and accountants. Monitor new investments and address any arising issues. Liaise with the accounts department over cash movements and administer payments. Set up, close, and manage client files, ensuring all information is accurate and current. Ensure compliance with regulations. Follow up on potential new client connections and ensure necessary forms are completed and processed. Manage occasional special projects, such as collecting Know Your Client (KYC) information. Qualifications & Experience: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English. An industry-recognised qualification such as the CISI Investment Operations Certificate is advantageous. Experience in a similar environment is preferable, along with a general understanding of the stock market and investment operations. Knowledge & Skills: Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly organised and numerate. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. High degree of initiative in problem-solving and task completion. Strong team player, adaptable to different working styles of investment managers. Enthusiastic, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and personable manner.
