This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed IAG Youth Worker to join the Leeds Pathways Support Team.
The Leeds Pathways Support Team deliver Information, advice and guidance to young people aged 15-24 (with additional needs) to support their transition into further education, training, employment with training or an apprenticeship. The postholder will support a caseload of NEET and at risk of NEET young people to support them towards positive outcomes. Support is delivered on a 1:1 basis where young people are supported to make informed decisions regarding their career options and choices.
The team works with a wide range of partners to support referrals into the Pathways team and to refer and signpost young people for additional support with appropriate agencies. In addition, the team attend careers events, deliver group work, and offer bespoke careers advice packages.
The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Youth and Community work and be an experienced practitioner that has the skills and ability to enable them to deliver an exemplary service to young people.
A young person-centered approach is required along with the ability to engage with young people in a positive and meaningful way.
