About the Product Management team: At Policy Expert, Product Management sits at the heart of our strategy, guiding innovation and excellence across our insurance offerings. Led by our Chief Product Officer, who oversees our Heads of Product (Home, Motor, Pet, and Shared Services), Delivery Management, and Business Analytics, the team facilitates strategic prioritisation and translates executive decisions into actionable roadmaps and timely delivery. Our Product Management function combines deep business insights, user-centred design, and agile methods to create impactful, customer-focused solutions. Your day to day: As the Head of Data Products at Policy Expert, you will: Establish and lead the new Data Product Management team, who are at the heart of our ability to discover, prioritise, and deliver data-driven products and solutions. Lead the Data Intelligence Tribe, managing a high-performing team of Product Managers responsible for analytics and machine learning products across our Home, Motor, and Pet insurance product lines. Define, articulate, and champion a compelling vision and roadmap for data products that significantly impact the P&L, enhancing performance throughout the insurance lifecycle including sales, customer experience, pricing and underwriting, fraud prevention, policy administration, and claims management. Establish and grow robust data product methodologies that clearly link data initiatives to observable business metrics, driving decision-making and strategic prioritisation. Collaborate closely with other product leaders and business stakeholders across Policy Expert and Trinity (our claims business) to identify and prioritise opportunities for leveraging data intelligence, ensuring alignment and maximising business impact. Champion the use of metrics to quantify, demonstrate and communicate the value, impact, and ROI of data products, fostering transparency and building credibility. Foster strong relationships with senior management and key sponsors, ensuring consistent alignment and advocacy for data-driven initiatives and investments. Promote a culture of data literacy across the organisation, ensuring metrics are actionable, role-specific, and seamlessly integrated into business processes. Lead engagement with finance teams and other stakeholders to deepen understanding of data’s direct influence on financial performance and operational efficiency. Who are you: An experienced Product leader with a proven track record in managing and delivering impactful analytics and machine learning products in complex, regulated industries (ideally insurance). Skilled in creating, scaling, and leading high-performing data product teams, fostering a culture focused on tangible business outcomes and continuous improvement. Expert in developing clear, compelling product visions and roadmaps that align closely with strategic business priorities and deliver measurable P&L impact. Demonstrated ability to develop and apply structured methodologies for prioritisation, ensuring data initiatives are closely tied to performance metrics and actionable business outcomes. Highly adept at influencing and securing buy-in from senior management, aligning data-driven initiatives with strategic business goals. Experienced in embedding business and financial literacy within data teams, enabling clear alignment with organisational priorities and fostering effective collaboration. Passionate advocate for actionable metrics, with a deep understanding of how to culturally embed data-driven decision-making across diverse business stakeholders. Strong collaborator with a proven ability to bridge the gap between technical data teams and business users, ensuring metrics are intuitive, valuable, and drive meaningful actions. Strategic thinker with a focus on identifying quick wins to build momentum, secure stakeholder engagement, and drive successful cultural adoption of data products.
