Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse with experience of cancer services to lead the transformation of cancer care at the James Paget Hospital. Well-developed communication skills are key to leading changes alongside nursing, medical, AHP and operational colleagues. You will be supported by the senior Executive team and work closely with the Cancer Manager and the Lead Cancer Clinician. The role involves system working with primary and community care colleagues, plus working collaboratively with other Trusts within the ICS, the Cancer Alliance and the charitable sector. You will work closely with our patient representative groups, collaboratively working on influential work streams. The post holder will provide professional nursing advice and leadership to support the implementation and monitoring of the Cancer Strategy. The post holder will ensure that all aspects of cancer service delivery are underpinned by patient and service user experience. Working closely with the patient experience leads, the Lead Cancer Nurse will lead on cancer patient experience. In collaboration with the cancer leadership team identify and implement the National priorities and guidance for cancer service, co-ordinating their development and trust wide implementation.
