Annular Group are partnered with a rapidly expanding network infrastructure business who specialise in providing advanced network solutions to the SME and mid-size commercial markets. On the back of a period of unprecedented growth, there are newly created roles for fiber and cabling engineers.
You will be working within a multidisciplinary operations team with a range of clients across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised individual to provide Network Installation services to a range of new and existing customers who operate across a range of vertical markets.
You are required to work on your initiative, unsupervised, and to tight deadlines, both individually and as part of a team. You will need to display an ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff and customers.
Responsibilities of the Junior Cabling Engineer
1. Structured Cabling related installations - Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, telephony and fibre optics.
2. Assume a lead role if required on multi-personnel installations.
3. Preparation and understanding of site-specific Risk Assessments, on occasion as required.
4. Completion of all project-related engineer’s documentation, on occasion as required.
5. Be the point of contact and liaison with customers during installation when assuming a lead role.
Essential skills to be considered as the junior cabling engineer:
1. Be able to demonstrate experience and understanding of structured network cabling and installation.
2. Flexibility of working hours and traveling are key requirements of this role.
3. Full and valid UK driving license.
4. Aim2Learn Certification (Desirable)
5. City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling in an Internal Environment or equivalent (Desirable)
6. City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling in an External Environment or equivalent (Desirable)
7. City & Guilds Copper Cabling in an Internal Environment or equivalent (Desirable)
