Position Overview: The Head of Analytics Solutions for CME Data Services is a global role with product and operational responsibility for developing and driving a wide range of new - strategic, revenue generating data & analytics-based products and services leveraging third party and CME Group data – which offers the widest range of global benchmark products across all major asset classes based on interest rates, equity indexes, foreign exchange (FX), agricultural, energy and metal commodities; cash and repo fixed income market data via BrokerTec, and cash and OTC FX data via EBS. This role is accountable for setting the long-term strategy for the development of high value client facing analytics products while working closely with other business line stakeholders; managing existing analytics partnerships and recognizing growth of the existing offerings with a focus on aggressively expanding customer uptake through targeted sales and marketing initiatives. The Head of Analytics Solutions will lead a dedicated product team of developers to establish a strong and scalable foundational data architecture and deliver analytics capabilities that increase and accelerate client acquisition and broader participation in our markets. With an eye toward enhancing customer value, he/she will be expected to have deep engagement with CME Group customers to truly understand the demand and need for new and innovative data products. Finally, this role will be responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify new strategic partnerships and inorganic growth opportunities to further expand the CME Group portfolio of data related analytics offerings. Principal Accountabilities: Establish and lead a product management function for CME Group Data Services and affiliated technology related to value-add pre- and post- trade market data analytics products. Leverage Google Cloud Platform to build robust client facing analytics platforms that further leverage cloud native solutions such as BigQuery, Analytics Hub and Looker. Systematically source opportunities across each business line, clearing and optimization functions and key support function with the highest potential to deliver value. Identifying and translating product, customer, market and competitive trends in the data space into opportunities Build strong IP rights and ownership around tools and analytics to ensure continues business and commercial value. Assessing competitive threats, areas of opportunity, trends and market developments that impact corporate, business line, customer segment, or regional growth for Data Services. Develop commercial and pricing strategies with respect to the existing product portfolio and new analytics solutions designed to drive incremental revenue growth and customer uptake. Work with CME Group Data Sales in the development of campaigns to bring greater awareness to CME Group’s analytics product set. Will be responsible for revenue growth associated with CME’s analytics product portfolio. Establishment, validation and execution of a 3-5 year running strategic product roadmap detailing the vision for CME Data Services product development objectives and long-term key initiatives. Clear communication of the data analytics product strategy at all levels of the organization – including senior stakeholders - is essential. Developing and prioritizing technology requirements across analytics products and services and ensuring execution by cross-functional teams. Responsible for establishing the vision for CME’s calculation engines from a CME business perspective to ensure our capabilities align to the data platform and analytics solutions long-term strategy. Business case development and business sponsorship for strategic partnerships and inorganic activity affiliated with data analytics products. Collaborate with Corporate Development to ensure alignment with overall corporate goals and objectives and to further advance such initiatives. Required Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience in product management related to data and analytics in capital markets. Minimum 3 years of leadership focus on the development, commercialization, and operation of client facing analytics in the financial industry. A proven ability to provide analysis and opinion on the competitive landscape including insights into threats, opportunities and trends in the region Experience working closely with external customers to understand their needs while developing various products and services to meet them Track record of proactive leadership in highly matrixed, collaborative environment is essential. Preferred Experience: Experience with a strategic consulting or research firm in a research-driven advisory capacity Leading an suite of analytics products for a major financial institution Experience and/or understanding of derivatives markets Broad understanding of the FinTech and data company landscape Strong network of senior level (CTO, CEO, COO, Chief Product Officer) contacts in data product, content and delivery technology companies Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, computer science or engineering.
