The Role
:
As a Structural Project Engineer, you will be liaising with the structural design team, advising on concepts and improvements to current projects.
You will largely be responsible for analysis
Your responsibilities will include :
1. Preparing concept design drawings, and calculations
2. Responsible for Technical Calculations, Simulations and Analysis such as: Beam Load, Foundations, Structural, Stress, bending moments and Materials
3. Attending customer meetings in the UK and overseas
4. Interpreting and working from customer requirements, specifications and drawings
5. Perform detailed engineering calculations using both software or hand calculations – These include: Structural, fluid dynamic, finite element analysis, and general mechanics
6. Support project management, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams
7. Assist in producing user manuals/instructions.
8. Conduct site surveys, condition assessments, and produce technical reports and recommendations.
9. Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
10. Research and development to maintain market leadership.
What we’re looking for in a Structural Project Engineer :
11. Previous experience in a mechanical design role
12. Engineeirng Qualification Level 5 or above
13. Good understanding of fabricated structures/components and manufacturing techniques.
14. Ability to interpret/create piping and instrumentation diagrams.
15. Willingness to learn and desire to move into a more technically challenging role
