In this role, you will work directly under the Statutory Reservoirs Safety Manager (SRSM)/Supervising Engineer, handling statutory responsibilities such as inspections, reporting, and data analysis to ensure the safety and compliance of our reservoirs. This position also involves collaborating with the Project Design Lead (PDL) to support the civil engineering aspects of related projects, comprising around 50% of the role, depending on project workload. Responsibilities will include:
* Arrange six-monthly and ten-yearly statutory inspections, coordinating with operations, grounds maintenance, and panel engineers.
* Apply for discharge permits with the Environment Agency as required.
* Gather and analyse monitoring data (drainage flows, water levels, topographic data, piezometers) for Supervising Engineer review.
* Collect and verify weekly inspection checklists from operations staff, ensuring all scheduled visits are complete.
* Attend all statutory inspections and assist as required.
* Support the drafting and quality-checking of inspection reports.
* Compile and track inspection-based recommendations into action spreadsheets.
* Assist the PDL with the delivery of statutory reservoir capital projects.
* Provide additional support to the SRSM and Principal Reservoir Engineer as needed.

* Driving licence

This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.
