Total People are looking to recruit a Learning Support Lead who will join Total People’s SEND team. We are seeking someone with experience in working with young people and/or adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful applicant will oversee the caseload of learners with an EHCP, providing support and guidance to colleagues to ensure optimal SEND support across provisions. You need to be driven, organised, and dedicated to managing a busy workload. The role requires flexibility, confidence, and excellent communication skills. This permanent position involves 37 hours per week, requiring national travel to various locations. Remote work is included, with all necessary equipment provided. Key Responsibilities include: Complete specialist training as required. Oversee the EHCP provision, ensuring all learners receive necessary support to progress and achieve. Support the development and implementation of Total People’s SEND strategy. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and developments within SEND and LDD. Maintain effective and transparent records for EHCP learners. Provide support, guidance, coaching, and training to staff to assist learners with SEND. Lead transition points for learners with an EHCP, collaborating with Delivery Managers, Learning Coaches, parents/carers, and Local Authorities. Work with Delivery Managers and Learning Coaches to raise aspirations and outcomes for learners with EHCPs. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Essential Experience supporting learners with EHCPs. Level 5 or above SEND qualification (or willingness to achieve). Experience with internal & external agencies for EHCP provision. Knowledge of GDPR and information sharing. Understanding relevant legislation and guidance related to SEND and LDD. Level 2 in maths and English or equivalent (or willingness to work towards). Relevant administrative experience.
