The role will initially be in a Key Stage 2 Class. Applicants should be friendly, be able to work as part of a team, be able to establish genuine relationships with children and their families, have experience of supporting children’s learning through play, be comfortable following children’s interests and most importantly enjoy working with children, including those with Additional Learning Needs. Good standards of numeracy, literacy, and IT skills are needed as well as an understanding of child development. This role will include supporting children with Additional Learning Needs. Applicants should also be committed to supporting and stimulating children to learn through play both inside and outside. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively and sensitively with parents and other professionals. Applicants should be sensitive to, and supportive of, the Christian ethos of the school. This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April.
