Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with other team members.
Duties
1. Assist service users with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
2. Support service users in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
3. Communicate effectively with service users, families, and colleagues to ensure the highest standard of care.
4. Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents' conditions to the Care Manager.
5. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any significant observations.
6. Drive service users to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
7. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as needed.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
2. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently when necessary.
4. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting service users.
5. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
6. A caring attitude with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for service users.
