Job Title: Part-Time Delivery Driver
Location: Manchester, Bury
Pay Rates: £13.00 per hour.
Shift Patterns: 3 days a week Wednesday - Thursday - Friday
Job Summary:
* We are looking for a part-time driver for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Start time would be around 07:30 am and would require a trip to our lock-up in Bury, Manchester to collect the orders and the van. The days will consist of around 20-30 drops in and around Manchester.
* The days will vary, but it is estimated to be around 8-10 hours a day, depending on traffic and road conditions.
* Our Delivery Driver will be delivering cakes; therefore, an excellent standard of hygiene is required.
* Drivers are expected to wear a uniform consisting of polo shirts and gilets, all branded.
* The role will become 5 days for the ideal candidate.
* We are seeking a reliable and punctual Part-Time Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting food to various destinations. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a commitment to safety standards.
Transportation Duties:
* Drive goods to designated locations in a safe and timely manner.
* Follow specific routes and schedules as provided.
* Assist with loading and unloading of goods, as needed.
Customer Service:
* Ideally, we need somebody that is chatty, presentable, and happy to hold a conversation with customers if required.
* We need a long-term driver who can grow with the business as the days could increase from 3 to 4 to 5.
* Communicate clearly and respond to any inquiries or requests.
Qualifications:
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Candidate must be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes.
* Strong time-management skills and reliability.
* Knowledge of local and regional routes is a plus.
