The role: Candidates for the Commercial Property Paralegal role will need to demonstrate a positive attitude, be organised, be technically proficient in email, word and excel and show attention to detail. The candidate will need to have a willingness to learn, improve and develop and be part of a team, as well as having good time management skills. Responsibilities will include: Direct communication with clients with updates and to provide and obtain information Deal with file openings including terms of business, AML checks and ensuring all information is inputted into a case management system (Liberate) Obtain documents from the Land Registry Obtain documents from Companies House Submit searches Obtain documents from solicitors and collating these Liaise with solicitors, lenders and agents Prepare completion statements Prepare engrossment documents and arranging with clients to sign Post exchange and post completion matters as well as completing some matters Send monies by CHAPS and BACS for completions and to clients - ensuring verbal confirmation of account details are obtained before sending funds Stamp Duty Land Tax forms – drafting and submission Land Registry applications File closure matters General administrative duties Carry out monthly matter review forms Prepare bills Telephone conversations with clients, agents, solicitors, lenders and third parties Prepare deeds schedules and arranging deeds storage Qualifications and skills required A legal degree Previous experience of working with a Commercial Property team as a Paralegal would be an advantage Dedication to providing excellent client service You take pride in your work.
