Job Description As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly accounts, reporting and analysis working to a detailed timetable. This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary and package and the opportunity to work with a forward thinking market leader. Key Duties of an Assistant Accountant: Calculate various monthly accruals and prepayments Prepare journals and key onto SAP Reconciliation of various P&L costs on a monthly basis and compare estimate with amount charged to accounts Assist with monthly reconciliation of balance sheet headings Review of Goods Received not invoiced accrual and review of parked invoices for accrual Complete various weekly and monthly reports across the business as required Weekly posting of bank transactions and bank statements onto SAP Undertake Bank reconciliation Post petty cash Prepare VAT returns detail on a monthly basis and undertake reconciliation Update various working sheets for utilities, etc. Undertake Headcount analysis Prepare a backup for sales invoicing as necessary Ad hoc duties as required
