Area Manager – Network Maintenance
Full Time - 37 hours per week (plus participation in a rostered standby)
Salary - £45,792 - £57,240 per annum plus car allowance
Location – Lound, Suffolk (with travel around our operating area when required)

As an Area Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring we continue to provide the highest standards of service to our customers while meeting ambitious performance targets. You'll be responsible for motivating and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional results, adopting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Working alongside a dedicated team of Area Managers across the Essex and Suffolk Water Region, you'll collaborate to drive success, overcome challenges, and lead your team to be the best in the industry. About you
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading field-based teams and have excellent communication and operational management skills. Proven experience of delivering outstanding customer service is essential, along with a problem-solving mindset and the technical aptitude to navigate complex challenges.
You’ll have experience of dealing with departmental budgets and be able to demonstrate confidence in making critical decisions on the spot. The fast-paced nature of our work requires someone who thrives under pressure, embraces innovation, and constantly looks for ways to improve how we operate.
An understanding of industry regulations and water network operations is highly desirable, particularly the challenges posed by leakage, supply interruptions, and water quality issues. These factors directly impact our performance, and we need someone who can proactively manage and mitigate these challenges.

This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
