Production Engineer
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Days: Monday-Thursday / Friday
We are looking for a motivated production engineer to join a market leading company. Reporting directly to the Manager, you will be a key member in ensuring customer products are kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development, this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to an engineer looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.
Role Description:
1. Proven experience in the fault finding, diagnosis, rectification and repair of the company product portfolio
2. A self-starter who is happy to work on their own but appreciates the importance of being part of a bigger team
3. Enthusiastic with a friendly helpful demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills as they are the face of the company
4. Strong attention to detail to perform repairs and maintenance of machines to a high standard and the accurate completion of paperwork
5. Flexible with a positive attitude to assist with various demands made on the business
6. Core maintenance experience within plant, auto or industrial machinery
7. Strong general mechanical knowledge
8. Strong general electrical knowledge
9. Experience with dealing with customers face to face
10. Good working knowledge and experience of installation, maintenance, inspection and breakdown repair activities
11. Can install equipment working from manufacturers' instruction manuals and our CAD drawings
12. Be a multi-skilled engineer with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical expertise, and a proven ability to deliver excellent quality of service to customers
13. Be flexible and willing to work overtime and occasional weekends
14. Computer literate, preparation and completion of paperwork
15. Be self-motivated
16. Be customer focused
17. Possess a positive 'can-do' attitude towards solving customer problems
18. Be confident and able to work under own initiative
Please note, a full clean UK driving licence is essential.
Qualifications:
1. Time Served Within Manufacturing
2. NVQ Level 3 - Desirable
3. Apprentice Trained Minimum Requirements:
4. City and Guilds Level 3
