Salary: 109,200 - 135,360 GBP per year Requirements:
* To succeed in the role of an AWS Platform Engineer, you will need experience in a similar position and many of the following skills:
* Significant experience in AWS and a track record of solving complex business issues; recognized as an AWS subject matter expert.
* Demonstrable expertise in designing and building with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS, ELB, SNS, SQS, and IAM.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python.
* A working knowledge of Linux, networking, routing, and firewalls.
* Strong understanding of operational concepts on AWS, particularly monitoring, observability, and FinOps.
* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform).
* Experience with version control systems such as Git, Mercurial, or Perforce.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with a desire to learn new technologies.
* Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc.).
Responsibilities:
* As a key member of our Cloud Platform Team, you will work with our National Security Customers to build infrastructure platforms on AWS that our Product Engineering teams rely on to create core mission applications. You will collaborate within empowered, autonomous teams, maintaining regular contact with Engineering teams and end-users to effectively understand, design, develop, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure platforms. You will be encouraged to identify innovative solutions to challenges and will have opportunities to work across various teams within our customer organizations. Expect to work within a small team where you will be given as much ownership and responsibility as you are willing to accept, while also being part of a larger Engineering community for support and career growth.
