Import Freight Coordinator - Aberdeen
Our client, a global Freight Forwarder, is looking for an Import Freight Coordinator to join their growing team in Aberdeen. The Import Freight Coordinator will be tasked with the start-to-finish processes for all things Import.
Preferably, they are looking for an individual with a minimum of 2 years' experience within freight forwarding but will consider someone with a transport background who is willing to learn Imports.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday - 9:00am to 5:30pm
Package:
33 days holiday per annum inclusive of bank holidays

Responsibilities:
1. Planning the most appropriate route for shipments, taking into account the nature of the goods, cost, transit time, and security.
2. Processing all import requests from clients or line managers.
3. Ensuring ongoing communication with the client throughout each import requirement.
4. Monitoring 'door-to-door' Imports until successful delivery is made within the required timeline.
5. Producing quotes when required, ensuring the best solution/options are provided to the client.
6. Providing support to colleagues in the team to ensure timely close out of all jobs.
7. Processing customs declarations through ASM Sequoia software in accordance with instructions and HMRC compliance.
8. Maintaining a thorough understanding of HM Revenue & Customs regulations.
9. Adhering to destination-specific documentation requirements.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years UK experience of international imports and freight forwarding.
2. Excellent customer service skills.
3. Fully conversant with all HMRC regimes and entry types.
4. Comprehensive understanding of ASM Sequoia and CHIEF.
