Position: Associate Director – Project Management
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham ( flexible working available)
An excellent opportunity for a senior-level Project Manager to step into an Associate Director position within a well-established, independent property and construction consultancy. This is a key leadership role that combines project delivery, team management, and business development across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, and education.

Role Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Lead the successful delivery of construction and development projects from inception through to completion, ensuring programme, budget, and quality targets are met.
* Client Management: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships and understanding their strategic goals to deliver tailored project solutions.
* Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior staff, contributing to their professional development and fostering a collaborative team culture.
* Business Development: Identify new opportunities, contribute to marketing and networking efforts, and support the strategic growth of the project management team.
* Commercial Oversight: Take responsibility for financial performance across projects, including cost forecasting, invoicing, and fee proposals.
* Risk and Compliance: Proactively manage project risks, procurement strategies, statutory approvals, and contractual obligations.
Requirements:
* Relevant degree (Construction, Project Management, Surveying, or related field)
* Significant experience in a client-facing project management role, ideally within a consultancy setting
* Strong leadership, organisational, and negotiation skills
* Experience delivering multiple concurrent projects across varied sectors
* Familiarity with key forms of contract including JCT and NEC
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, MAPM, CIOB) is preferred but not essential
